What Parents Are Saying

I pledge because…

I am concerned about families…because we cannot remain status quo…because I love my family.
-Vidalia, GA

My grandson means everything to me and I would do anything to help him.I want him to have a good, happy.healthy, productive life with the Lord guiding him.I want him to be safe.I love him very much.
-Pembroke, GA

This world contains too much evil to just stand by and watch it infect my wife and children! It’s important to protect them from evil influences around them and raise them in a way that honors God, so they may honor God with their lives.
- Vidalia, GA

My daughter is 21 now and living on her own but she still needs me to love her. She’s full-on alternative with many tattoos and piercings and Gothic in appearance. She went for shock value at my Mother’s 90th birthday party last Saturday and it hit home to me how much she still needs me to provide a more positive role model in how I conduct myself in public. I pledge to be an upright and loving example to her as to how to behave in public. I’ve already started to do that of course but this pledge thing came into my inbox at just the right time. Thank you
- Australia

Life is so busy, I rush through my days trying to get all the things done that need to be done. In the midst of my tumultuous scramble,I tend to lose the ability to communicate effectively. I sometimes feel as though my loved ones can read my mind, but they cant. Misunderstandings and/or not talking about things that bother us or things that confuse us can affect our relationships. I want to commit to communicating effectively-not just saying what is on my mind or what I might expect of someone, but also listening to the other person/ family members feelings, thoughts, problems, goals, dreams. Communication is the key to good strong relationships!!!
- Darien, GA

I truly love my children and desire them to grow in God and who thru are in Him, and who they are and can become in Him…
- Ogdensburg, NY
“I know God has the perfect plan for our lives. If I trust Him, get quiet and listen to Him, I can allow the Holy Spirit to work through me. Then, God’s love will flow through me to love & guide others. Following our fleshly desires lead to destruction. I ask Go to take my mess and make it into His Message.

“God please make me aware and show me how to truly demonstrate your love to my family and to those outside our home. Please remove my selfish desires.”
- Satellite Beach, FL

We are called to love one another and the family unit is the first example of this love to our children.
- Columbus, Ohio

I feel that my family is not as close as we used to be or as I would like us to be.
- Long Beach, CA

I am committed to my family and to training my children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. I desperately want my children to be grounded in their faith and in the love of their parents.
- Vidalia, GA

My family is worth it
- Spring Hill, FL

I want my children to know that I work hard to ensure we as a family are taken care of and even though i arrive home late and spend little time with them, I will not only tell them i love them but i will show them i love them.
- LaPuente, CO
